WCFC is a choir of approximately 50 singers (Bass, Contralto, Tenor and Soprano voices) of all ages and musical interests.  The musical director is Graham Kidd who encourages choir members to improve their singing techniques and extend their musical repertoire.

Our Main Concerts

In January of each year the choir presents a concert with professional soloists and musicians. The programme may consist of popular well known choral works as well as those performed less often. This year’s January concert was postponed due to Covid resrictions so our last “January concert” was actually on the 1st February 2020 when we gave a Celebration of European Choral Music with songs in French, German and Russian as well as Latin, at the Chandlers Ford Methodist Church.

Each May, the WCFC joins with other Hampshire-based choirs in the Winchester & County Music Festival to perform major choral works at either Romsey Abbey or Winchester Cathedral. Our next May concert will be our delayed Centenary event at the Anvil Theatre, Basingstoke when we will be singing Handel’s Messiah.

See concerts for details of future performances and past works for details of previous concerts.
